About AdventBuddy
An independent endeavor aimed at advancing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church through accessible digital tools — bringing the whole church experience into one WhatsApp conversation.

What We Are
Built to Advance the Mission
The AdventBuddy project is an independent endeavor aimed at advancing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist® Church through accessible digital tools. By meeting people where they already are — on WhatsApp — AdventBuddy removes every barrier between a believer and the resources they need to grow.
What started as a Bible reader quickly grew into something much larger: hymns, Sabbath School, EGW writings, youth ministry tools, Bible games, and more. Every feature has been shaped entirely by the community it serves.
Important notice: The use of the term “Adventist®” should not be interpreted as an affiliation with, or endorsement by, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists or any of its divisions, unions, or local conferences.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Faith-Centred
Every feature is built around deepening your relationship with God — not engagement metrics or ad revenue.
Accessible to All
WhatsApp works on any phone, anywhere. No smartphone required, no data-heavy app — just a simple chat.
Always Improving
AdventBuddy is an ongoing mission. Every suggestion from the community shapes what gets built next.
Community Driven
Built for Adventists, by an Adventist. The community is the compass — not a corporate roadmap.
How We Got Here
The Journey
The Vision
Recognising that scattered resources and data-heavy apps were leaving many believers behind, the vision for a WhatsApp-based Adventist companion was born.
Launched to the Public
AdventBuddy v1.0 went live — Bible reading, hymns, Sabbath School, and more. The first wave of users joined within the opening week.
First Public Presentation
AdventBuddy was showcased publicly at the ZEUC Primarus Youth Camp — the first live presentation to a real Adventist youth audience.
10,000 Users 🎉
Just two months after launch, AdventBuddy crossed 10,000 users — a milestone no one anticipated so soon after going live.
1st Birthday — 25K+
On its first anniversary, AdventBuddy surpassed 25,000 users. A community that began with one WhatsApp number now spans multiple countries and languages.
Growing the Community
EGW writings, Pathfinder & Adventurer resources, 28 Fundamental Beliefs, Sabbath Tracker, Progressive Classes, and multilingual hymnals added. Thousands of messages exchanged daily.
Games Come to AdventBuddy
Multiplayer Bible games launched — Trivia, True/False, Clean or Unclean?, Who Am I?, and Hangman — bringing faith-based fun and friendly competition to the community.
This Website
A proper home for AdventBuddy — showcasing every feature, sharing devotionals, and making it easier for new members to discover and join the community.

Tafadzwa is a full-stack developer and devoted Seventh-day Adventist from Zimbabwe. Driven by a desire to see technology serve the church's mission rather than distract from it, he built and continues to maintain AdventBuddy entirely on his own — designing, coding, and shipping every feature that serves the community.
“I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.”
